I’ve been using the Hume body pod for about a year now and was an eager recipient when they released the band a few months back. I have been able to track various metrics, including body fat percentage, lean body mass, visceral fat, and approximately 20 others. Why is this important? Because a standard scale just doesn't tell the whole story. So does my 10-minute, once-a-week, slow-motion, strength-training plan really work? If I had a regular scale, how would I know? Below are a series of screenshots from the Hume app. To be fully transparent, I completed the 10-minute workout every Monday for six weeks. I also did the farmer's carry every day. I did two sets of 2 minutes, with a 2-minute rest between sets, for a total of 4 minutes per day. I started with 2 20-pound dumbbells and finished with 2 28-pound adjustable kettlebells.
The only other exercise during the 6 weeks was a daily walk with my wife and three dogs. Lots of stops with male dogs, my heart rate was usually lower in the fat burn zone.

Here is what most of us see correct? Dang, I’m exercising but gaining weight.
But with the Body Pod a different picture begins to emerge. My weight is up but my body fat % is on a downward trend. Yes!
Wait! What? My Trunk fat mass is also on a downward trend. But I gained weight?
